North Whatcom Fire and Rescue (NWFRS) will be working with the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office for “Project Santa,” an annual event that benefits children and families in need.

NWFRS firefighters and fire trucks will escort Santa through parts of the district on Saturday, December 15. Along the way, Santa will stop and collect donations from the community and visit with families.

NWFRS will be collecting new toys, coats, clothing and books along their route. Food donations must be non-perishable and unexpired. Cash donations will also be accepted.

Unfortunately, NWFRS cannot accept used items.

Community members are encouraged to bring their family and take photos with Santa during these stops. To ensure safety, gather at the signs located along the route.

In order to keep Santa on schedule, NWFRS requests that families  gather at one of the stops in their neighborhood or visit the Birch Bay Lynden Road Station #63 between noon and 1:00  p.m. to donate.
