Declining revenue for the Birch Bay Water and Sewer District (BBWSD) will most likely mean water and sewer rate increases, but district officials have yet to determine how much of an increase will be needed.

Due to a small roster, Blaine competed solely in individual races at the high school cross country district competition on Saturday, October 29, at South Whidbey High School. Fortunately, three of their four runners will be advancing to state.
