Declining revenue for the Birch Bay Water and Sewer District (BBWSD) will most likely mean water and sewer rate increases, but district officials have yet to determine how much of an increase will be needed.

Tuesday night’s play-in matchup between Blaine and Cedarcrest ended in a 35-24 Red Wolves victory, ending the Borderites’ 2011 season and leaving Borderites players and fans wondering what might have been.

Three Blaine cross country runners advance to state

Due to a small roster, Blaine competed solely in individual races at the high school cross country district competition on Saturday, October 29, at South Whidbey High School. Fortunately, three of their four runners will be advancing to state.
