With the most recent Whatcom County elections results in, outgoing county executive Pete Kremen still leads county council member Tony Larson, while a machine recount may be triggered in the race between Christina Maginnis and county council member Sam Crawford.

Signs supporting the Northwest Park and Recreation District #2 levy are still a common site around Blaine and Birch Bay, but the most recent ballot numbers show the levy is failing by just less than five percent.

Jack Louws and outgoing Whatcom County Executive Pete Kremen may be leading in their respective positions countywide, but both candidates would have been defeated if the election was limited to Blaine and Birch Bay.
