Imhof: 'Gimme my gold watch!'

Twelve-year county council veteran Robert Imhof announced last week he will not seek re-election this November.

Citing the need to spend time with his family and his feeling he’s done all he can do on the council, Imhof said it’s time to move on. He said he is also quitting his job as a school bus driver to pursue a career either reviewing permit applications for the state Department of Ecology or as a consultant to help applicants through the process.
