Math mavens on road to state

In a sea of 132 teams from 30 schools participating in the Whatcom County math championships last Saturday, Blaine students stood out.

Sixth grader Patrick Mulholland took third place in the individual competition for his division and classmate Danny Dougan came in fifth. In seventh grade, Eli Kramme took fifth.

In team competition the sixth grade team of Mulholland, Dougan, Alex Bresnan and Dylan Haines took third place. The fourth grade team of Christina Swearinger, Camden Nix, Michelle Berry and Matt Fisher took sixth place
