New boat folks

Diamond Yacht Sales has been on the Blaine marina since 1995, but since April, it’s been full of new faces.Gary and Dallas Ramberg of Hermiston, OR purchased the business from John and Diane Russo and moved to Blaine with son Kelly. “We always liked it up here,” Gary said, and with family in the area and a chance to put his years of auto sales and yacht brokering to work after he retired, he jumped at the chance to purchase the business.

Since they took over, the Rambergs have concentrated on the little things, improving equipment and upgrading their website, which routinely carries 35 – 50 sail and power boat listings with digital photos.

The only familiar face at Diamond Yacht Sales is Charles E. Lind, who’s been with the business since July last year. He saw it as “an opportunity to put my sales experience and love of boating together.” Ramberg said that with Lind’s expertise in sailboats, and his interest in power boats, “We make a good team.”.
