The tax man cometh home

What was initially a way around expensive office space has become a top selling point for Dan Gullicksons business. Gullickson runs Dans Mobile Tax Service with partner Jill Kennedy, and the pair find that customers are relieved they can just stay at home with their pile of receipts. Most find it convenient that I go to them, Gullickson said. I can fit in with their schedule and you dont worry about forgetting something at home.

Gullickson started his business in Stanwood and decided to continue it when he relocated to Blaine this year. An H&R Block trained and IRS certified tax specialist, he concentrates on individual tax returns and private ownership businesses while Kennedy holds down the fort in their H Street office.

Depending on how complicated their taxes are, measurable by how many forms are needed, an individual or family will pay from $30 to over $100 to have Gullickson do their taxes, but Kennedy said its worth it. He researches all the little things, Kennedy said. Usually if they own money they owe less when Im done, Gullickson said. Dans Mobile Tax Service is also an authorized e-file provider and can arrange for refund anticipation loans for those who need the money in a hurry.
