School district gets kudos for safety

Washington State superintendent of public instruction Terry Bergeson has recognized the Blaine school district for completing a recent Washington State Patrol annual school bus safety inspection with exceptional results.

“For the past several years, results in (the Blaine) district have been outstanding.” Bergeson said in a June 30 letter addressed to Blaine superintendent Dr. Mary Lynne Derrington. “We congratulate you, your administration and the staff of your transportation department for these outstanding school bus inspection results.”
