Newell’s trial scheduled

Blaine high school principal Dan Newell’s jury trial was scheduled for Tuesday, September 27, during motion calendar proceedings for the Whatcom County District Court held August 11. A hearing for motions prior to the trial has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 6.

Newell was charged with two gross misdemeanors after allegedly warning a board member her child was a person of interest in an investigation into marijuana smuggling on the Point Roberts bus.
