?Everyday Fitness opens new Blaine facility

?Everyday Fitness Training Center is opening a new athletic facility Monday, March 27 in the Blaine International Shopping Center.
The new 3,200-square-foot facility will offer machine weights, free weights and cardiovascular equipment and a variety of classes including: “Women on Weights,” “Men on Weights,” sports athletic training, senior fitness and nutritional counseling.

Everyday Fitness was founded in Ferndale in 2004 by Whatcom County residents Josh Lehman and Tim Gould. Members will have access to both the Blaine and Ferndale facilities.

Lehman said he made the decision because he thought Blaine’s substantial baby boomer and mature adult population would be a perfect fit for his business.

“Because we tend to appeal to baby boomers and a more mature clientele, Blaine seems to be a perfect fit for us,” Lehman said. “Our primary focus is giving people at all fitness levels the opportunity to learn from our certified staff on getting into the best shape of their lives.”

The Blaine facility will be managed by certified personal trainer Jim Slaugh.

Everyday Fitness Training Center will be open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays and 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.

However, Lehman is looking into the possibility of providing members 24-hour access.

He said this is a priority in Blaine since many federal personnel and others with shift work in the area have expressed interest in expanded hours.
