Jeff Coston, the resident golf
pro at the Semiahmoo Country Club, won his third tournament
in a row last week in taking the Senior Washington Open
Invitational at Semiahmoo by eight strokes.
Previously, Coston won both the Guisti Memorial last April
at the Riverside Golf Club in Portland and the Northwest
Seniors Players Championship in June at the Tri-Mountain
Golf Club in Vancouver, Washington.
Coston, a native of
Seattle, said that it was “sweet” winning
the third of the three tournaments he’s entered this
year at home.
he one-time PGA touring pro has won many awards over the years he’s been at Semiahmoo, including being named Pacific Northwest Golfer of the Year in nine out of the last 11 years.
“I get offers from other places but this is too good to leave because we’ve kind of got it all, with the tree-lined Arnold Palmer course here at Semiahmoo and the course at Loomis Trail.”
The Semiahmoo course will host the third annual ALS benefit tournament on Friday, July 21.
