Blaine family featured in national magazine
Kim Van Wingerden, 22, of Blaine, was featured in the June/July 2006 issue of Farm and Ranch Living, a nationally distributed magazine published in Greendale, Wisconsin.
Van Wingerden wrote a month-long “diary” profiling the daily farm life of her and her family.
Her parents, Dave and Annemiek, own Pacific Growers in Blaine, just south of the Canadian border.

Local film ‘Reefnet’ wins Emmy
A film that was shot on Lummi Island and other Whatcom County areas took home top honors at the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Emmy award ceremony on June 3. Copies of the film are available at Boundary Bay Brewing in Bellingham, or by email at sketchp@hotmail.com.
