Winter arts festival begins November 25
The Sweet Road Artisans Alliance will again host an art show, sale and demonstration for three Saturdays beginning November 25 at the Wildwood Alpaca Ranch at 3750 Sweet Road east of Blaine.
The show has been expanded to twice the floor space of last year, when over 800 patrons showed up, and features 10 different artists, all of whom will be demonstrating their particular craft.
There will also be alpacas to meet up close and personal, kids’ activities, and food and non-alcoholic refreshments.
Except for the pieces that are for sale, everything including admission is free. Shows run from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on November 25, December 2 and 9.
Featured artists include broom squire Ron Snyder, water color and ceramic artist Cathy Taggett, glass artists Allie Ryser and Karla Eames, candlemaker Katherine Wiens, woodcarver and watercolor painter Bob Hogan, jewelry maker and gourd maker Donna Charbonneau, quilter and knitter Kay Rose and alpaca fiber knitter and weaver Kelly Wood.
John Wood will be selling his antiques and country collectables, and their son Shane will be supplying homemade cookies, both for sampling and for sale.
