Conference explores WHTI

A February 15 conference at Western Washington University will explore the potential economic effects of the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative, which requires all cross-border travelers to carry a passport.

A variety of speakers including Consul General of Canada Peter Lloyd and U.S. Consul General Lewis Lukens will present a broad discussion of the initiative’s perimeter clearance concept, how it has been implemented to date and how it figures into the known future plans of Canada and the United States.

Admission is free, but interested individuals should register as soon as possible by calling 650-3995 or by emailing david.davidson@wwu.edu.
