Sculptures entries sought for 2008
The U.S.-Canada Peace Anniversary Association is seeking artists to submit outdoor sculptures for their 11th Annual Peace Arch Park International Sculpture Exhibition.
The exhibition is scheduled May 1 through October 1, 2008 in Blaine’s Peace Arch Park located at the fourth busiest U.S./Canada border crossing, of which more than 500,000 people visit the historic site and international peace park each year.
Criteria for selecting the exhibition includes: artistic impression, quality, durability, aesthetic appeal, and park and community appropriateness. A panel of international art experts, association members and park management jury the exhibition.
The exhibition is presented by United States Canada Peace Anniversary Association (USCPAA), in cooperation with Washington State Parks. Entry fees are $10 per piece (U.S.).
