Entries sought for Peace Arch 2009/2010 art exhibit

The U.S.-Canada Peace Anniversary Association is seeking artists to submit outdoor sculptures for their 12th Annual Peace Arch Park International Sculpture Exhibition.
The exhibition is scheduled May 1, 2009 through April 1, 2010 in Blaine’s Peace Arch Park.
The 40-acre park is located at the fourth busiest U.S./Canada border crossing, of which more than 500,000 people visit the historic site and international peace park each year.
The park is also an international gateway for the Western United States into Canada and will serve as the entry point for a majority of visitors to the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, B.C.
Criteria for selecting the exhibition includes: artistic impression, quality, durability, aesthetic appeal, and park and community appropriateness.
A panel of international art experts, association members and park management jury the exhibition.
The exhibition is presented by United States / Canada Peace Anniversary Association along with Washington State parks. Entry fees are $10 per piece (U.S.).

Digital image CDs or 35mm color slides, accompanied by completed entry form and fee, must be received by mail or hand-delivered to the USCPAA on or before Tuesday, December 30, 2008.
