Whatcom Community College’s Community Education program is offering non-credit, short-term classes in core skills necessary to finding a job in a down economy.

These classes cover basic computer skills such as understanding Microsoft Office, creating documents and spreadsheets, and using email effectively.

A free orientation class March 31 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the college’s Foundation building will help students determine which workshops best meet their needs.
