A group of Custer musicians have scheduled this year’s Haynie Opry series with a beginning performance on June 13 at the Haynie Grange.
The event features country, bluegrass, western music and entertainment based on the Grand Ole Opry style. This year’s first show is June 13 at the Haynie Grange.
Two performances per day have been scheduled. The first, a gospel matinee, is scheduled for 3 p.m. The second, a full-length country music program, is scheduled for 7 p.m. Admission for the matinee is $5 and the evening show is $10. Children 12 years and younger have free admission.
June’s program will be hosted by Matt Audette and his “Circle of Friends” band, featuring local artists such as Sally Rauch and Betty McNeely and her son, Jonathan.
McNeely and Jonathan will perform at the evening performance. Betty sings Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn songs as well as other traditional songs from the “Ladies of country music.” Sally Rauch will perform at the evening performance. For more information, call 360/366-3321.
