BP Cherry Point Refinery will open its doors to its Birch Bay and Blaine neighbors on Friday, September 18.
In this rare opportunity to see behind the scenes at BP Cherry Point Refinery, guests will be able to take a bus tour through the plant from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and can browse informational displays about refinery operations from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Coffee and donuts will be served in the morning and a barbecue picnic lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m to 1:30 p.m. Gates will open at 9 a.m.
This year’s event will take place at the BP Cherry Point recreation area off Jackson Road. Weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable footwear is advised; the event will take place outdoors rain or shine.
