The Blaine school district has
scheduled a free evening to help better prepare students, parents and
teachers for a lifetime of math-related skills.
The event is
scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 22 at the Performing Arts
Center and will explore how algebraic reasoning can be developed across
grades and examine the algebra that students should know before
entering high school.
Mathmatics education specialist Ruth Parker will facilitate.
Free pizza and pop will be offered from 5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
Students in fourth grade or older are invited to attend the event. Childcare is available. For more information, call 332-6045.
