A Canadian developer has proposed a mixed-use commercial and residential development on 15.7 acres just south of Bayview Avenue on Peace Portal Drive.
Jack Wong, of The Pacific Trails East Homes company, has submitted plans to the city of Blaine for the Albert Avenue development, which will include two 25,000-SF three-story buildings consisting of 42 assisted living units and 23 residential four-plex buildings that will contain 3,750-SF of retail and office space on the ground floors. The development also has plans for a 6,312-SF commercial pad for future use.
The city of Blaine has determined through the State Environmental Protection Act (SEPA) review process that the developers will need to complete mitigation improvements for wetland, wildlife habitat, storm water, street and trails.
A public hearing has been scheduled by the Blaine planning commission for 7 p.m. Thursday, October 22 at city hall.
