The Blaine school district board of directors is undertaking a long range planning process during the current school year. The process is intended to assure for both program and facility goals at least five years out and will serve to guide the overall program decision making process into the future.

The school board intends to actively involve both parents and patrons in this critical work. “To that end, we have scheduled three community forums and would encourage those with an interest in this work to be in attendance on one of these three evenings,” said superintendent Ron Spanjer.

The community forums are scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 4 (school district office), Tuesday, November 17 (Point Roberts Community Center) and Tuesday, December 1 (Birch Bay Village).
A representative steering committee will work with the information collected at each of the community forums and complete a final report for board consideration and approval in March of the current program year.
