A California man wanted by the FBI for alleged mail fraud, money laundering, bankruptcy fraud, false declaration and criminal contempt was apprehended Thursday, December 3 when he attempted to enter the U.S. at the Peace Arch border crossing.

Alexander Thorn, 44, was arrested after a name check revealed that he was the subject of a National Criminal Information Center (NCIC) felony warrant. Thorn falsely attempted to claim U.S. citizenship but records indicate that he is a German native and that he has twice been deported from the United States, in 1995 and in 1999.
