How quickly 2009 passed us in Birch Bay! We look forward to 2010 as the eyes of the world are upon us during the Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

At the Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce perhaps our greatest achievement of 2009 was the re-launch of our website www.Birch-BayChamber.com – all new, very informative, easy to use and full of fun and factual information. A special thanks to Ruth Lauman of nwcascades.com for the wonderful crafting of our new website.
From planning for our terrific local events, clamming info, networking or just learning more about this wonderful place we do business in and call home,  www.BirchBayChamber.com is your one stop information location on the web.

The challenges of 2009 will not be quickly forgotten, how different our economy has become. However, we look at these challenges as opportunities to do better and do it more efficiently for the benefit of our community, our neighbors and our businesses.

To that end, we are encouraging folks to shop local when they shop so watch for the launch of our all-new “Birch Bay Sand Dollars” discount cards.

These valuable cards will entitle the bearer to special discounts in our local businesses. The cards will first be available at our Birch Bay New Year’s events – the Ring of Fire & Hope on New Years Eve and the Polar Bear Plunge on New Year’s Day.

These fabulous and free events bring thousands of folks to Birch Bay and are great fun to be a part of. For more details please visit www.BirchBayChamber.com. We even have some videos from previous years posted there to watch.

The Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce looks forward to the New Year and our opportunities to shine within it.
Let’s show the world a great time and what we have here in our special corner of the Pacific Northwest. We invite you to join us – whether you stop by and visit us on the web, come by for a day, a week or a lifetime.
