Art lovers will want to check out the work of Blaine resident Karen Chamberlain currently on display at CJ Wijns in Birch Bay.
Chamberlain, of Blaine, recently returned from her second home in Redding, California with a collection of her acrylic, watercolor and mixed media paintings for a solo exhibit at CJ Wijns. All of the paintings are for sale.

Chamberlain said her background in merchandising and retail, combined with her appreciation for ethnic and cultural images and bright colors of New Mexico, play a major part in her personal interpretations. She added she has a long time love affair with art of all kinds, from studying with Wayne Thibeau at Sacramento State, several semesters of environmental art at the University of Hawaii, and personal world travel.

The exhibit is open to the public from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily and from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at CJ Wijns during the next six to eight weeks. The café and wine shop, located at 7714 Birch Bay Drive in Birch Bay, can be reached by calling 371-2658.
