Pacific Building Center is offering a series of free or low-cost gardening classes throughout the months of April and May. The following is a list of events:

Children’s gardening workshops: 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 24 and May 15 at their location at 2677 Bell Road. The children’s gardening workshops are $7 per child and includes a snack as well as materials to decorate their own planters.

Make One For Mom: 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 1. Participants can learn container and basket planting in time for Mother’s Day. Attendees will have the option of planting their own container after the class is over.

May In Your Garden: 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 8. Tips for gardening success with emphasis on watering, fertilizing, weed and pest control.

Fall and winter vegetable gardening: 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 12. The class will discuss varieties of veggies that grow successfully throughout the winter.
