The Whatcom County in Bloom Competition is now entering its 25th year.

The goal of the program has been to encourage beautification of Whatcom County communities through gardening.  It also provides recognition to some of the many dedicated gardeners in the area.

The contest begins in June and continues through August. There will be a variety of categories for people to enter including   beginners garden residential, neighborhoods, container gardens, shopping districts, medical facilities,  parks, office complexes, collector's gardens, Ecologically Sound gardens (minimal or pesticide free), children's gardens and apartment/condominium complexes.  Entrants designate the month, June though August, they would like to be judged.
