Local magician Sterling Dietz will host two final performances before his move to Los Cabos, Mexico this month.
The 19-year-old Lynden native has achieved many triumphs in his young career, but none as big as securing his own theatre – the Teatro de la Ciudad (Theatre of the City).
“After almost two years of negotiations to finalize the details of working full-time in another country, it’s all been worth it,” Sterling said. “To perform your art in your own theater is a dream come true.”
Sterling will perform two “Music and Magic” farewell shows with his assistant, Jessica Gassman, at 3 and 7 p.m. August 28 at the Ferndale Events Center located at 5715 Barrett Road.
Featured on this concert will be the Mt. Baker Toppers, a group of men who have shared their music for over 50 years with people all over the world; including New Zealand, Finland and Canada as well as here in the U.S. Joining them will be The New Originals, Valley Voices and Borderline Harmony.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $17 at the door. Seniors older than 65 and children under 13 are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Refreshments will be provided.
