The Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner’s statewide health insurance benefits advisors (SHIBA) has scheduled a free event at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, October 7 at the Blaine Senior Center at 763 G Street.

The event will feature updated information about upcoming changes to the Part D program, as well as information on how to find the correct plan for each individual. It will also focus on locally available services offered by the Whatcom SHIBA helpline, government programs that help pay for premiums and deductibles and use of Medicare’s webpage.
