Low-income families in need of a complete Thanksgiving dinner will want to call the Family Services Center at Blaine high school this week in order to get on the list to receive one. The center can be reached by calling 332-0740.
Thanksgiving baskets will be distributed from 1 to 5:50 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24 at the storefront with the Basket Sign near Cost Cutter in the Blaine International Shopping Center. All baskets are assigned by family, and walk-ins will not be accepted.
The program is funded by support of residents and local businesses from Blaine and the surrounding area. Individuals wishing to donate to the program can send a check to The Christian Ministerial Association (CAP) Thanksgiving Basket Fund, P.O. Box 1067, Blaine, WA 98231. CAP is an approved 501 (c)3 charity program and any donation is fully tax deductible.
