Employee Benefits Planning recently purchased Blaine Insurance and has brought on Rod Bring, Ray Westfall and Lori Wilson as principals.

The company also has offices in Bellingham and Mount Vernon.

Bring, who will manage their Blaine office, is a life time resident of Whatcom County and earned his degree in education from Western Washington University.

He has nearly 23 years of experience negotiating healthcare service contract, starting his career in the marketing department of Whatcom Medical Bureau in 1986.

He also survived their merger with Skagit Medical Bureau that formed Northwest Washington Medical Bureau in 1997, for which he served three years as their marketing manager.

Employee Benefits Planning specializes in group insurance and employee benefits, servicing a diverse clientele, ranging in size from small businesses to large private and public organizations with more than 2,000 employees.

Bring said the company has no planned changes to the former Blaine Insurance other than their ability to offer additional services including individual healthcare plans, COBRA administration, voluntary benefits, Medicare plans, life insurance and other personal insurance plans.
