Those who would like to sample local cheese, chocolate and wine will want to check out a collaborative holiday open house featuring six local wineries this weekend.
Two wineries from Blaine will be participating. They are Glacial Lake Missoula (GLM) Winery at 1678 Boblett Street and Dakota Creek Winery at 3575 Haynie Road.
Glacial Lake Missoula Winery will be selling six packs of their current vintages, including their Harbor Light Red. Two dollars from each bottle sold will go toward the Semiahmoo Lighthouse Resurrection Society, which is working to build a replica of Blaine’s historic lighthouse.
Dakota Creek will be selling their Firefighter Red as well as local artisan cheese from Pleasant Valley Dairy.
All wineries will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, December 3, 4 and 5.
Other wineries featured are Mount Baker Vineyards at 4298 Mount Baker Highway in Everson, Samson Estates at 1861 Van Dyk Road in Everson, Vartanyan Estate Winery at 1628 Huntley Road in Bellingham and Dynasty Cellars at 2987 Haxton Way in Bellingham.
