Organizers for this year’s Ski to Sea Festival are looking for about 600 volunteers to help at the Ski to Sea “Big Race” this year.

This is the 100th year celebration of the Mount Baker Marathon and there are a variety of ways volunteers can help make the event special.

Volunteers are needed for help before, during, and after the race in marketing, preparing racer packets, video recording the event, photography, equipment assistance, race timing, assisting at each leg and clean-up.

Additional volunteers are needed to help at Marine Park for the finish line celebration. All will receive an official 2011 Ski to Sea t-shirt for their participation. Organizers will also be holding a block party at Depot Square on May 27 to help kick off the race.
Interested individuals can fill out a volunteer form online at www.SkiToSea.com. In order to receive a free Ski To Sea T-shirt, all applications must be filled out and turned in by May 6.
