Those who want to take a bite of local flavor will want to attend the Blaine Chamber of Commerce’s annual Bite of Blaine event Monday.

The event, which brings together more than 20 local restaurants and food providers, is scheduled for 6 p.m. March 21, at Semiahmoo Resort.

Organizer Carroll Solomon said the event will include a live auction featuring local items, such as a day-long sailboat trip for four people offered by Semiahmoo Yacht Club, a limousine wine tour for up to 14 adults from Smuggler’s Inn,  two tickets to see the Seattle Mariners play the Philadelphia Phillies on June 18, an official NCAA basketball signed by Blaine star Luke Ridnour and a private wine tasting for four offered by Dakota Creek Winery.

Proceeds from the event will go to funding the city of Blaine’s annual Fourth of July celebration.

Admission is $25, and tickets are now available at Pacific Building Center, Cost Cutter, Semiahmoo Gift Shop and the Blaine Visitor Center. Tickets will not be available at the door. For more information, visit
