Blaine City Council members have scheduled two public hearings next month to discuss an annual review of the six-year transportation improvement plan and a proposed revision to the city’s fireworks ordinance.
The hearing on the transportation plan is scheduled for 7 p.m., Monday, May 23, and will discuss updates to the current project schedule.
Blaine public works director Steve Banham said three new projects have been added to the list. Those are: new pedestrian improvements on Semiahmoo spit and two sidewalk gap eliminations on H Street and Peace Portal Drive.
The hearing on proposed changes to the city’s fireworks ordinance is scheduled for 7 p.m., Monday, May 9, at the city council chambers.
City staff also gave a preliminary nod of approval to the donation of an outdoor clock from developer Ken Imus. Imus is currently working on a multi-use development project on the corner of G Street and Peace Portal Drive.
