Blaine’s Girl Scout troup 41655 will join more than 5,400 Girl Scouts from 13 states this weekend to walk across one of the country’s most famous bridges as part of their 30th annual Golden Gate Bridging in San Francisco.

Troop 41655 will ceremoniously cross the Golden Gate Bridge on Saturday, May 7, in a day-long event in San Francisco’s Presidio. Bridging is a traditional Girl Scout celebration of accomplishments where girls make the transition from the younger girl to the older girl program.

The Blaine girls raised more than $2,000 for their trip through Girl Scout cookie sales, garage sales, the sale of items they made for the Winterfest Art fair at Loomis Hall and support from the Blaine community.
