Blaine and Birch Bay residents won’t have to travel far to be screened for their risk of having a stroke or bone fracture.

North Bay Christ the King Community Church will host Life Line Screening on July 19. The church is located at 4895 Birch Bay-Lynden Road in Blaine.

Screenings are fast, noninvasive, painless and can identify potential cardiovascular conditions such as blocked arteries and irregular heart rhythm, abdominal aortic aneurysms and hardening of the arteries in the legs, which is a strong predictor of heart disease.

Packages start at $139. All five screenings take 60 to 90 minutes.

For more information on the screenings or to schedule an appointment, call 877/237-1287 or visit the Life Line website at www.lifelinescreening.com

Pre-registration is required.
