Pull your running shoes out of the closest and get ready for Blaine’s Run to the Border race next weekend.

Now in its 10th year, the event on Saturday, August 6, features a 1-mile run for youngsters 10 and under and an open 5K race for all ages.

Both the Kids Fun Run and the 5K Race begin and end at Blaine High School. The courses are flat and both are jogger and
stroller friendly.

The fun run starts at 8:30 a.m. and includes four laps around the high school track.

The 5K race starts at 9:10 a.m., and winds through the residential areas of Blaine to Peace Arch State park and back.

Proceeds from the races will benefit the families of Blaine children who have cancer.

Blaine High School is located at 1055 H Street. For more information, contact Dan Persse at 360/371-3882 or runtotheborder@comcast.net. Participants can register online at www.active.com.
