July 29: Agents responded to Whatcom County Jail to take custody of a Mexican citizen who was incarcerated on a domestic violence charge. Agents originally contacted this subject on July 3 during a translation assist for the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office.  Subject was processed for removal.

July 30: Sector enforcement specialists monitoring a remote video surveillance system observed a subject enter the United States near 8th and A Street in Blaine. Border Patrol agents responded to the area and arrested a citizen of Cuba. Subject was processed for removal.

August 6: Local citizens flagged down a Border Patrol agent after becoming suspicious of a person in the Peace Arch Park near Blaine. Agents located the subject at a nearby gas station. The subject admitted to being a citizen of Nicaragua who was illegally present in the U.S. Subject was processed for removal.

August 7: Border Patrol agents arrested a citizen of Mexico after a short foot pursuit near Sumas. The subject was in possession of a backpack containing 12 pounds of cocaine and four handguns. Subject had prior arrests for aggravated assault, kidnapping and a prior deportation. Subject was processed for removal and other criminal proceedings.
