The historic Plover ferry’s 15-year-old diesel engine injectors will get a little TLC thanks to the Semiahmoo Yacht Club’s donation of $750.

The yacht club presented Plover crew member Richard Sturgill with the donation on Saturday, September 10. Sturgill plans to use the money to repair or replace the aging injectors.

“If we’re lucky enough to have any funds left over, we will repaint the ferry’s red passenger cabin,” he said, “and if there are any remaining funds in the kitty, we will repaint the black cap rail around the vessel.”
