The Washington State Auditor’s Office has released its 2010 audit of the city of Blaine’s finances and found no issues with their financial procedures.
The audit, which covered the time period from January 1 to December 31, 2010, examined the city’s money-handling procedures and internal control systems in addition to how the city government handled federal grants.
The federal grants portion was particularly significant this year because of the grants the city received for the Lighthouse Point Water Reclamation Facility.
The state auditor’s office audits the city of Blaine every year. The city also received a clean audit for the 2009 fiscal year.
