If the recent ice and snowstorms caused any property damage in Whatcom County, Whatcom Unified Emergency Management (WUEM) officials want to know about it.

WUEM is asking for anyone who has experienced storm-induced property damage, excluding vehicle collisions, to report the extent of the damage to them. Residents with storm-damaged property are urged to call 360/676-6681, leave a name and telephone number, and then describe the damage when a WUEM official calls back.

WUEM cannot make reimbursements available to property owners at this time, but damage information will provide a gauge of the kinds of damage snowstorms can cause in Whatcom County. The collected information will also be used to substantiate aid requests to the state and federal government.
