Come 7 a.m. on Sunday, April 8, the Freedom Fellowship worship team will have been up and at Blaine’s Marine Park for three hours, preparing for the annual Easter Sunrise Service.
“We’re excited about the opportunity to have this community service,” pastor David Riddle said, adding that some believe it’s been going on for at least 25 years in Blaine.
The service, which runs from 7 to 8 a.m., is scheduled early so that churchgoers can also attend their home churches later in the morning, Riddle said. Coffee will be available before the service.
“Easter is a busy time of year for all of the churches in Blaine, Birch Bay and Custer, and this is our service to the community,” Riddle said. “It’s going to be a great service.”
