The Blaine Tourism Advisory Committee (BTAC) is now accepting grant applications for 2013 projects that will enhance tourism.
The grant funds come from the hotel and motel tax that is charged to guests who use lodging in Blaine. According to the city, grant funding requests should propose projects that will increase tourist spending and encourage overnight stays.
Those interested will need to submit a completed grant application to the city clerk by 5 p.m. on August 6, 2012. The application form is available on the city’s website at cityofblaine.com or at Blaine City Hall, 344 H Street.
