The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission has announced the 2012 lineup for the Peace Arch International Concert series.
The free, hour-long outdoor concerts are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sundays from August 5 through September 2 and celebrate the diverse cultures of the Pacific Northwest.
The Peace Arch Park concerts are part of a statewide series of events presented by the Folk and Traditional Arts in the Park Program. A Discover Pass is required to park on the U.S. side of Peace Arch State Park for the concerts.
The lineup is as follows:
August 5: Music and dance by Sayaw, the University of Washington Filipino American Student Association performance troupe.
August 12: Polynesian music and dance by the Kalevaria Samoan United Methodist Church of Tacoma youth group.
August 19: Iranian music and dance by Daneshvar Music Ensemble.
August 26: Latin American and Caribbean acoustic music by Los Flacos.
September 2: Contemporary Indian dance by Bollywood Seattle.
