Alejandro Moser-Hernandez, 6, holds a plaque and certificate he earned in the Washington State Pepsi Championship Bowling Tournament.
After bowling on weekends at Mt. Baker Lanes in Ferndale and competing in the Western Washington regional tournament, Moser-Hernandez bowled a 115, 102 and 124 in three games to take third place in the boys’ under-11 division at the statewide tournament. He competed against 75 other boys in his division.
Moser-Hernandez, a student at Blaine Primary School, earned a $350 scholarship administered by the U.S. Bowling Congress SMART scholarship program. After his successful tournament, he’s excited to hit the lanes again this weekend in Ferndale.
