Dakota Schlag, 20, of Park City, Utah, was arrested as he attempted to enter Canada at the Peace Arch crossing on Monday, September 3. After being sent to secondary inspection, CBSA officers determined that a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest had been issued in connection with the Stanley Cup riots in June 2011.

Schlag has been charged with participating in a riot and mischief. Schlag was a Vancouver resident attending the University of British Columbia. An avid skier, he had chosen to go to university in B.C. in order to have more opportunity to ski. He had been working for a heli-ski company in Alaska for the summer.
