Craft and antique lovers of north Whatcom County will converge on Lynden Thursday, Friday and Saturday for the annual craft and antique show, starting at 10 a.m. each day.
The 23rd annual show, running from October 18 to 20 at the Northwest Washington Fairgrounds, will feature handcrafted gifts, home decor, antiques, food and daily musical entertainment.
A number of Blaine and Birch Bay artists will be exhibiting at the show, including Joan Carlin of Cabin Antiques.
This will be Carlin’s 20th year exhibiting in Lynden, and she’s looking forward to the show.
“It’s a better show all the time,” she said, noting that the organizers are always looking to increase attendance and the variety of vendors.
Carlin sells antiques and her own sewing – aprons, baby items, table runners and more.
“It’s always so interesting to see what people buy,” she said.
On the other end of the spectrum is Sharon Swanson of Sharon Swanson Glass Design. This will be Swanson’s first time exhibiting in Lynden, and she’s very excited about it.
“I’m excited to see the response to my new work,” Swanson said. She’s transitioned from large stained glass pieces to smaller, more retail-friendly work, including pendants, nightlights and pocket mirrors.
Other area exhibitors include Peggy Cook of Whimsical Art, Sherri Nelson of Cottage Creations, Mac Muncy of Mac’s Critters and Barbara McAllister of Wood ’n Stitches.
Admission to the show is $5. Visit lyndencraftantiqueshow.com
