Friday, February 15, Opera Performance Tour, Lucia di Lammermoor: Join the Whatcom Senior Tour program and see Lucia di Lammermoor, a tale of love, power, and heartbreak. Lucia is filled with secret rendezvous, political intrigue, and duels at dawn and one of the most famous mad scenes in opera. Presented by the Skagit Opera at the McIntyre Performing Arts Center.
The trip departs from the Bellingham Senior Center at 9 a.m. and returns at approximately 4:30 p.m. Cost is $65, with an additional $10 for nonmembers. The trip includes round-trip transportation, admission to the opera and escort.
Friday, February 22, Chocolate Delights Issaquah and Country Village: Come see where “chocolate bliss is created!” Tour where hand-made, old Austrian recipe chocolates are made and served by traditional Dirndl-dressed chocolatiers. Lunch in Issaquah. Another treat includes a pastoral “Country Village” surrounded by a collection of one-of-a-kind boutiques and shops, such as a tearoom and hats shop.
The trip departs 8:30 a.m. and returns at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, February 22. Cost is $59 and final payment is due February 9.

Tuesday, March 19, Baroque Painting Classics: Admire the beauty of original Baroque style paintings at the Seattle Art Museum. Enjoy the works of Rembrandt, Hals, Reynolds, Romney, Turner and Van Dyck who paved the way for artists of today.
