A new fundraising event that the Pacific Arts Association is putting on promises to be a swinging good time, especially for
fans of the jazz era.
The first Speakeasy Benefit Concert Dance and Auction will be held Sunday, March 17 at 7 p.m. at the Loomis Trail Golf Club, 4342 Loomis Trail Road. Featuring Greta Matassa and her band, the benefit is themed for the jazz age. Costumes from the 1920s and ’30s are optional.
Greta Matassa was voted the Northwest’s best jazz vocalist by Earshot Jazz magazine six years in a row.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Visa cards are accepted for tickets and auction items. A cash bar and appetizers will keep partiers satisfied.
All proceeds benefit the annual Blaine Jazz Camp, which connects young musicians with internationally known musicians for instruction and performances. For more information about the Speakeasy Benefit Concert Dance and Auction, please contact Kristi Galbraith at 360/332-5148.
